As Mental Health Support Worker, we assist mental health patients with therapeutic and basic care. Such as taking vital measurements and supporting patients with daily activities such as eating and taking medications. As Mental Health Support Workers we provide support to mental health patients in a healthcare facility by collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Implementing treatment plans and administering medication or therapeutic care to their patients
• Observing patients for behavioural changes
• Supervising and monitoring patients within the facility to ensure their safety
• Documenting and maintaining patient health records
